Michele Lotta esordisce professionalmente nel mondo della musica come conduttore radiofonico e dj agli albori della emittenza privata (un'attività svolta con grande costanza per oltre vent'anni).
Chitarrista ed armonicista sin da giovanissimo, si accosta con passione al Blues sulle soglie degli anni ottanta. Dal 1989 collabora come fotografo e giornalista con riviste di settore come Il Blues, Musica Jazz e Blue Time ed incontra (sia per la radio che per la stampa) numerosi artisti come: B.B. King, Koko Taylor, Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown, Sam Lay, Bob Margolin, John Primer, Robben Ford, Joe "Guitar" Hughes, Maurice John Vaughan, Big Bill Morganfield, Sarasota Slim...
La raccolta fotografica "Clickin' the Blues" (ospite di diversi Enti ed Associazioni preposte alla cultura in Italia) è catalogata dal 1998 negli archivi della "Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame" di Cleveland, Ohio, la massima istituzione musicale americana. Sue foto vengono pubblicate sui maggiori quotidiani e periodici italiani: Panorama, La Repubblica, L'Unità, Il Giornale di Sicilia, Gazzetta del Sud, Buscadero.
Quindici anni di attività musicale al fianco di Joe Coco, songwriter e chitarrista del New Jersey, sono raccolti in ben 17 album (tutti regolarmente depositati presso la BMI negli USA) tra cui la colossale "Blues House - A Blues Opera". Con l’artista americano suona armonica e chitarra e svolge tantissimi concerti in Italia ed in Svizzera partecipando anche alla "gospel night" siciliana della cantante Fontella Bass.
Nel 1993 è cofondatore della blues band King Biscuit Time con la quale registra e produce i CD "Love That Stuff" nel ’95 e "Low Fidelity" nel 2001. Con la band si esibisce in festival di livello internazionale con la presenza degli interpreti più illustri della Musica del Diavolo tra cui: Michael Coleman, Nine Below Zero, Maurice John Vaughan, Fabio Treves, Climax Blues Band, J.Monque’D, James Harman, Andy J. Forest, John Primer, Jimmy Johnson, Sugar Blue, Popa Chubby, Sherman Robertson, Keb' Mo', Phil Guy, John Hammond… Con la KBT suona l'armonica (diatonica e cromatica).
Nel 2000 realizza il sito KBLF, un ‘web magazine’ sul mondo del Blues con un ampio spazio dedicato alle recensioni discografiche.
Nel 2003 da vita al movimento culturale Spaghetti & Blues.
 
 
 

 
  Michele Lotta begins his professional career as a radio conductor and dj at the onset of private broadcasting, and continues for the next 20 years. He starts playing guitar and harmonica at a very young age and discovers his passion for the blues at the start of the 1980’s. He has collaborated as a photographer and journalist with specialized magazines such as Il Blues, Musica Jazz and Blue Time since 1989.
His photograph collection, "Clickin’ the Blues" (often hosted by several cultural associations) is part of the archives of the most famous music institutions of the world: the "Rock & Roll Hall of Fame" in Cleveland, Ohio.
15 years of work with Joe Coco, songwriter from New Jersey, gave birth to 17 music collections – one of which is the colossal "Blues House - A Blues Opera" . Concerts in Italy and abroad, two Switzerland tours and an opening act in Sicily for the Gospel singer Fontella Bass follow.
Together with the blues band King Biscuit Time, he brings to life the records "Love That Stuff" (1995) and "Low Fidelity" (2001) and appears at several international festivals with some of the greatest performers of the "Devil’s Music": Michael Coleman, Nine Below Zero, Maurice John Vaughan, Fabio Treves, Climax Blues Band, J.Monque’D, James Harman, Andy J. Forest, John Primer, Jimmy Johnson, Sugar Blue, Popa Chubby, Sherman Robertson, Keb' Mo', Phil Guy, John Hammond …
He plays the harmonica in both electric and acoustic sets and acoustic/electric guitars.
